Penny Taylor
Lead Nurse, Hospital at Home Team
Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust
Penny Taylor is a registered nurse with over 20 years experience. Since 2008, Penny has been dedicated to working as a Senior Sister for the Hospital at Home Team at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust. She played an integral role in setting up this team, and along with her colleagues she has continued to grow and develop the service over the years. She has also used her experience in this field to help several other Trusts around the country set up their own Hospital at Home teams.
Penny’s main nursing background is in Respiratory Medicine whilst she also has a keen interest in service improvement. She has been able to combine her passion for these two areas into a Masters Degree in Professional Practice, and is always looking for opportunities to develop her skills further.
Most recently Penny took the lead in the successful introduction of elastomeric pumps for her Trust’s Hospital at Home Team OPAT service. She is passionate and enthusiastic about Hospital at Home, and is always happy to share her wealth of experience with others.
